POLICE RELIGIOUS LITERACY PROGRAM
Join us for a 3-day religious literacy program to enhance your understanding of the diverse communities you serve

Effective policing in diverse communities requires specific knowledge and skills. Created specifically for police officers, this unique 3 day program provides officers with a nuanced understanding of some of the worlds religions, and the role they can play in personal, social and community relationships and broader conflicts.
Together with colleagues you will:

Meet religious and Indigenous community leaders

Engage with colleagues about best practices for connecting with diverse communities

Tour houses of worship and learn about sacred spaces and traditions

Participate in classes and discussions designed to enhance your knowledge and comfort with religious practices and communities

Learn about the role of religion in political and social conflicts which may impact your community.
Taught from a non-sectarian perspective this program helps you connect with colleagues, community members and others who practice various religions.

Refund policy:
We appreciate your support! If you register for the Police Religious Literacy and your circumstances change, your organization is welcome to send another staff person in your place. Please reach out to encounter@worldreligions.ca to alter your registration.
