Join us for a 3-day religious literacy program to improve your understanding of the diverse communities you serve

Created specifically for police officers, this new 3 day program offers the opportunity to learn about some of the world’s major religions.
You will:

Meet religious community leaders

Engage with colleagues about best practices for connecting with diverse communities

Tour houses of worship and learn about sacred spaces and traditions

Take part in interesting classes and discussions designed to enhance your knowledge and comfort with religious practices and communities
Taught from a non-sectarian perspective this program helps you connect with colleagues, community members and friends who practice various religions.
Police officers who have attended Encounter’s Discovery Week have raved about the value of the program both professionally and personally.
Please note that the registration fee does not cover accommodations. Recommended accommodations list.
Parking is available onsite at 70 Birmingham Street.
Refund policy:
We appreciate your support! If you register for the Police Religious Literacy and your circumstances change, your organization is welcome to send another staff person in your place. Please reach out to encounter@worldreligions.ca to alter your registration.
